Japan has one of the largest worldwide reserves of geothermal energy, and it is expected to be developed for power generation via renewable energy. JFE Engineering was involved in the design and engineering of Matsukawa Geothermal Power Plant, which was the first geothermal power plant in Japan. JFE Engineering has also constructed steam separation plants, steam gathering pipelines, brine re-injection pipeline and its associated instruments and control systems. Since 1966, JFE Engineering as a pioneer, has been gaining experience in E.P.C. for nine geothermal power plants in Japan as well as plants in both Indonesia and Kenya. In 2010, JFE Engineering also began providing Binary Power Generation Units promotes overall engineering of geothermal power generation from feasibility studies to construction, commissioning and maintenance.
